Mar de por medio: Öresund-Kattegat

…That is how, after a long list of “nautical excesses”, I decided to spend some short savings in buying a small boat somewhere in northern Europe, and bring her down to Spain in consecutive legs; so thanks to this wandering I would have the chance to discover other seas, other coastlines, other harbours; together with the chance to learn how people do sail in those other places, and how they behave regarding the sea. The result has been three unforgettable years, in the sea (sailing), and in dry land (preparing passages), between NW Sweden and NW Spain.

This website tends to be a notebook on that preparation and those passages: a track of 2.000 miles through very dissimilar waters of the facing-the-Atlantic Europe, on a 8 metres sailing boat, by a common guy, with a common job, modest and unexceptional sailor. Being the boat and the crew the only extraordinary elements which I could count on...

I also report here some of those other “nautical excesses” meant above, which I am continuously perpetrating, for the simple reason that -by compiling them here- I calm somehow this happy anxiety I feel towards the sea and boats.
